Shyam Sundar Mishra is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of experience in EDA software product development, product verification, and quality assurance. He is currently working as a Verification Architect (Emulation) at Cadence Design Systems, where he is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of SoC designs before the actual hardware is available. Prior to his current role, Shyam worked at Mentor Graphics, Emulation Division, where he served as a Staff Engineer and Manager. In this role, he was responsible for driving the validation of a diverse range of emulation applications, such as fault injection, DFT pattern acceleration, average/peak power estimation, functional coverage, software debug on the emulator, and advanced trigger techniques. He was also involved in reviewing functional and design specifications, proposing test plans for new test bench acceleration methodologies, enhancing test coverage, executing test plans, creating use model cases similar to the end user flow, and conducting quality analysis of the product. Shyam also analyzed defects and proposed focus areas for the development team/product team, and led, trained, and mentored a team of 6-8 engineers. Shyam's expertise includes hands-on experience with C/C++, Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL, ease of use analysis, customer-centered testing, and quality assurance for complex EDA products. He is also experienced in developing high-performance teams. Prior to his role at Mentor Graphics, Shyam worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at Wipro, where he worked on enterprise solutions using C++, Java, and VC++. Shyam holds a BTech degree from IIT and completed his high school education from Bidhan Chandra Institution, where he studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, English, and Hindi. Shyam's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, test, QA, C, Software Engineer, and Java. With his extensive experience and expertise, Shyam is a valuable asset to any organization in the EDA software product development and verification space.
